VISION
Centre of Excellence in Mineralogy is committed to pursue excellence in fundamental and applied research in geological sciences with special emphasize on Mineral exploration and Petroleum Exploration, maintain high quality education and research. The Centre is dedicated to serve the region and nation demand by providing skilled manpower to explore the mineral resources of the country.
MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CENTRE
The main objectives of the Centre of excellence in Mineralogy as defined in the Act (IX of 1976) are
(a) To engage in goal-oriented high-level teaching and research;
(b) To train research workers;
(c) To establish .M.Phil., Ph.D. and other programs in the relevant discipline in accordance with the standard and requirements of the University in which the Centre is established;
(d) To promote-cooperation in inter-disciplinary relationship with other teaching and research establishment;
(e) To arrange conferences, seminars and refresher courses for the development of teaching and research; and
(f) To conduct teaching and research in such particular discipline as is assigned to it by the Federal Government in consultation with the University in which the Centre is established.
